Amsterdam's 24-hour licences turn ADE into an endurance event, and the 30th edition has some serious ones: a 55-hour non-stop run, a 30-hour finale, morning parties from 08:30, and closings that run into Monday afternoon. Add the clock change on Saturday night — 03:00 becomes 02:00 — and it's a very long weekend.

How to survive a marathon
- Know the re-entry rules. Most marathons don't allow re-entry, or only with a stamp. Check before you head out for food.
- Hydrate and eat. Ask the bar for tap water regularly and eat a proper meal before you go in.
- Test, don't guess. The GGD and Jellinek drug-testing services add extra hours in ADE week (€2.50 per sample, cash). ADE's safety partner Celebrate Safe advises testing at least a week ahead, as lab results can take a few days.
- Protect your ears. Wear earplugs; eight-plus hours at club volume adds up.
- Watch the clock change. On the night of Saturday to Sunday, clocks go back at 03:00. End times on Sunday morning may be in winter time — check with the promoter.
- Plan the trip home in daylight. After 07:00 trams and metros are running again; before that it's night buses, the F3 ferry, a bike or a taxi. Our getting-around guide has the details.

Are there afterhours on Sunday at ADE 2026?
Yes. Sunday-into-Monday events include Apollonia curates VBX at Shelter (until 09:00 Monday), Vault Sessions x Key Vinyl at RADION (until 15:00 Monday), the Intercell Bajes closing (until 07:00 Monday), CODA at Lofi and Breakfast Club's 30-hour Final Stretch.
Are there morning parties at ADE 2026?
Yes. Ogazón invites Freddy K & Rene Wise at BRET starts at 08:30 on Friday, Breakfast Club's Runner's High at RADION runs 09:00–19:00 on Saturday, Second Wind runs 09:00–19:00 on Sunday, and Detroit Love plays a 06:00–11:00 sunrise session on the 20th floor of the A'DAM Toren on Sunday.
Do the clocks change during ADE 2026?
Yes, on the night of Saturday 24 to Sunday 25 October the clocks go back one hour at 03:00, so Saturday all-nighters run an hour longer.
